For different types of generating units, at present, most manufacturers of generating units are equipped with corresponding standard fuel tank and fuel supply system for users to choose and buy. At the same time, it can also be designed as a chassis tank according to the user's requirements. It can also be designed into discrete tanks of various capacities according to user's requirements. Users can also design their own fuel tanks, but regardless of what kind of fuel tanks, their installation design must follow the following principles:

Installation Principles:

1) The storage position of the fuel tank must be safe to prevent fire. The fuel tank or the oil drum should be separately placed in a visible place, away from the generator set appropriately, and smoking is strictly prohibited.

2) The fuel capacity in the tank should be guaranteed daily supply.

3) After the tank is placed, the maximum oil level should not be 2.5 meters higher than the base of the unit. If the oil level of the large oil depot is higher than 2.5 meters, the daily oil tank should be added between the large oil depot and the unit so that the pressure of direct oil delivery is not more than 2.5 meters. Even when the diesel engine is shut down, fuel is not allowed to flow into the diesel engine by gravity through the intake or injection lines.

4) The resistance at the oil outlet shall not exceed the specified value for the use of clean filter element specified in the performance data sheet of the diesel engine used. This resistance value is based on half of the fuel in the fuel tank.

5) Fuel return resistance should not exceed the requirements of the diesel engine performance data sheet.

6) The connection of fuel return pipeline should not cause shock wave of fuel in the pipeline.
